TAKE ACTION
FOR GLOBAL VACCINE EQUITY
FUNDRAISE TO HELP DELIVER COVID-19 VACCINES GLOBALLY
LOVEMYNEIGHBOURPROJECT.ORG
Support COVID-19 vaccines for global neighbours in lower income countries through the Love My Neighbour project in partnership with UNICEF Canada.
Did you know only 16% of the population in low-income countries is vaccinated against COVID-19?
Every $25 helps deliver two doses to 10 global neighbours.
That’s $2.50 to deliver two doses to one person.
Step 1
Gather a small group of friends to brainstorm a creative fundraiser. If you are inviting your synagogue to participate, consider inviting another local faith community to join your efforts! For example, a fundraising walk, run or swim, an art, baking or rummage sale, an evening of music, a read-a-thon or a social media challenge.
Step 2
Create your own LMN online fundraising page at https://fundraise.unicef.ca/lovemyneighbour/register/ with a name and target. Create posters and/or social media posts with a link to your own LMN/UNICEF fundraising page to let your community know how to support your fundraising efforts. Tag @lovemyneighbourproject @unicefcanada #GiftaVaxWings.
Step 3
If you have collected online donations, consider sending ‘thank you’ emails to your donors using the UNICEF dashboard tools. If you are sending your donation by cheque, please mail it to UNICEF Canada, Attn: Community, 90 Eglinton Ave E, Suite 400, Toronto, ON, M4P 2Y3 (marked Love My Neighbour Project).
Step 4
Be sure to share how much money was raised for global vaccine delivery and how many global neighbours you helped protect against COVID-19 (i.e., divide your total funds raised by $2.50 to see how many neighbours you helped access a vaccine).
